At the time of publishing this blog post, we are smack in the middle of what is proving to be another successful furniture auction fundraiser. We kicked Fall Auction 2022 of with Furniture Revival, a meaningful celebration of second chances. Barnabas staff, board, friends and supporters gathered together to honor Barnabas' mission as we counted down to the opening of bidding. The event was highlighted by the work of local designers and DIY pros whose one-of-a-kind Furniture Revival pieces were on display. (Check out the mini-bar below! Would you believe it was a nondescript nightstand before designer Charli Bryan saved it from the landfill?!)
Furniture Revival was a great time! The event had it all: food, drink, laughter, and 500+ AMAZING pieces of furniture. It was the perfect way to launch our Fall Auction. Our sponsors made it all happen, as they always do. Where would we be without Bespoke sponsors John & Regina Shamberger? John and Regina are long-standing and tireless supporters of Barnabas and they have played a pivotal role in our expansion and growth these past few years. From extending our donation hours and doubling our warehouse space to adding another truck to the fleet and waiving delivery fees, John and Regina have been cheering us on at every turn, rolling up their sleeves and pitching in.
The Schambergers give with their whole hearts, and we are deeply grateful for them. When asked "why Barnabas?", John, former VP/Chairman of VF , said it's just plain common sense:
