We're SO excited to share that we've received a $5,000 donation from
Allegacy Federal Credit Union! Allegacy Foundation is committed to giving back to the community by funding charities that address critical needs, and we're honored to have its support.
Last year, Allegacy gave more than $550,000 to charities, schools, and chambers of commerce within its service area. Headquartered in Winston-Salem, it's a true hometown financial institution with a heart for the community.
Since our 2006 founding, we've kept it pretty simple with one program of work: collecting furniture that people no longer need and putting it into the homes of people who do need it -- for free. We've been doing this for nearly 20 years now, and what began as a grassroots community effort to put emergency furnishings into the homes of storm survivors has grown into an organization that collects more than 17,000 pieces of furniture each year to furnish upwards of 1,000 homes.
This critical Allegacy funding will make an immediate and tangible impact in the lives of the people we serve. We're grateful to our community partners who keep our trucks on the road and the warehouse lights on. Thank you for helping us recycle furniture and restore lives.
