Barnabas Stories - “Mr Clyde” Crutchfield

Mr Clyde's Photo

I’ve been involved with Barnabas just a little bit over two years. I brought somebody else down here. They got a washing machine and some other stuff. Then I came back and volunteered. I’ve always been busy in my life. Doing something like this is more like a challenge for me to see how well I can do. It kills the time. Mostly I repair broken furniture and adapt furniture. Like cutting a table down to make it smaller or making a frame for a bed that we got from a hotel. It’s like a hobby to me. I’ve just somehow learned to do this over the years. I retired from being an electrician. I work two or three hours a day or whatever I feel like when I get up. Most of the time I work by myself. With Barnbas I can give to the people. It makes me feel good.
